Microsoft Co Founder Bill Gates is on a trip to India and has been visiting some of the top leaders of the country. Today, Gates arrived at Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s office. The discussions held between the two are uncertain.

CM Yogi is not the only politician Gates visited, yesterday he met with Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh. The man behind Microsoft met Rajnath Singh to discuss the Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI.)

The registration for PHFI was canceled by the Home Ministry in April. This NGO had the Gates Foundation as a benefactor. Bill Gates along with the trustee and co chairman of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation explained the welfare initiatives of PHFI. After the meeting, Singh appreciated Gates and requested to initiate health awareness programs in India.

In an interview with the Times of India, Gates expressed his disappointment in India’s education system. But he appreciated the Swachh Bharat Movement and also pointed out its biggest flaw. Gates was quoted saying, “Part of our Swachh Bharat partnership with the government is to try and make sure that the toilets that are built are not so bad that you’d rather not use them.”

Bill Gates participated in a panel discussion where he theorized India would make a remarkable achievement if it makes a 7% average growth rate in the next 20 years in an equitable way.
